An Evening to Honor NASA-JSC
September 2013
For over 50 years, NASA has captivated our attention, inspired our imaginations and left us in awe as they pushed the frontiers of engineering,
technological and scientific discovery. Unquestionably, NASA has proven to be the greatest scientific laboratory ever created and its discoveries
have literally changed the world. It is not hard to imagine that the roots of nearly every technology we use today can be traced back to America's
Space Program. Nor does it take a rocket scientist to realize that this great program has been one of the most productive economic engines ever
created, resulting in a total positive economic impact that is incalculable.
The NSTA World Foundation, in collaboration with NASA-JSC, invites you to join us for
an historic evening of imagination and intrigue as we honor the Johnson Space Center for 50 years of outstanding achievement and scientific
excellence… and for their “Continuing the Vision” into the future. This prized gem of Texas has brought great pride and
international fame to our nation and state… and most certainly to “Space City, USA”… HOUSTON!
For those of us who have been awed, thrilled and inspired by America's Space Program, we now have the opportunity to come together for the purpose
of acknowledging, honoring and celebrating NASA-JSC for 50 years of incomparable global leadership in scientific discovery, and for their vision of
future space travel. Proceeds from this historic event will go toward student scholarships in science and technology and to NASA workforce programs
for repatriating furloughed contractors.
Guests of Honor will include NASA‘s astronauts, officials and sub-contractors who participated in this
amazing history-making program. Prepare for lift-off in September 2013 at Houston’s Hyatt Regency!
